Meet and Greet

To provide you and your family with the best experience, a meet and greet will take place first. It can be over the phone or in person. This is so we can meet each other and go over any specific needs or expectations you have for me as your potential doula. This is also to see if we are a right fit for each other!

Prenatal Visits

Over the course of your pregnancy, we will meet two times prior to the birth. These meetings are customized for you and your family so you can get to know me better and so I can learn how to best support you and your family through this journey. We may discuss any concerns or preferences you may have surrounding your upcoming birth. I will also answer any questions you may have. During the final prenatal visit, we will go over comfort measures and optimal fetal positioning techniques for you to try during the last few weeks of your pregnancy.

Contact Support

As your doula, I will always be available 24/7 to talk to you and your family via call/text/messeger/email.

On Call

From the moment you are 38 weeks, I will be on call until you deliver your baby. I will also make every effort to make myself available for any pre-term births if the scenario arises. I will have an experienced backup available in the event I cannot be available.

Labor Support

Different from doctors, nurses, and midwives, I will be there offering continuous labor support from the time you call me over, through the labor and birth, and 1-2 hours postpartum. Comfort measures I provide include but are not limited to:

  • emotional support

  • counter pressure

  • massage

  • heat & cold therapy

  • position changes

  • breathing techniques & imagery

  • birth ball and rebozo techniques

  • Spinning babies techniques

  • involvement guidance to partner & family members

  • breastfeeding support and golden hour bonding

  • other support as needed

Postpartum Visits

These visits are to see how you, your baby, and family are doing. We can reflect back on the birth so that I may fill in any gaps you have. We may also go over new life adjustments, basic newborn care, additional breastfeeding support, postpartum resources, and review any final questions you may have.

As a Doula, I Do:
g3723.png

Support you through your pregnancy, labor, and birth. My support as your doula is individualized for each family depending on your particular needs and preferences. I will educate you on any topic within my scope. I will provide guided labor support for your family and birth partner. During the birth, I am there to provide physical comfort, emotional support, and advocacy. I will help you get the information necessary to make an informed decision. I will also remind you if there is a change in your birth ideals that you have shared with me. I will discuss your concerns with you and suggest options, but you and your partner will speak on your behalf to the clinical staff.

As a Doula, I Do Not:
g3723.png

Perform tasks such as fetal heart rate checks, monitoring blood pressure, or vaginal exams. My role is one of nonintervention and is non-medical. I will not make decisions for you. I do not pressure you into certain birth choices nor do I take over the role of the partner.

I do not attend planned “unassisted births.” There needs to be midwifery care for me to attend a home birth. I understand that sometimes births happen quickly, but the plan always needs to be one in which a midwife plans to be in attendance for me to be in attendance.

I provide services in these areas:
