My Story

Hey there! My name is Brittany Miller. I have been married to my husband for nine years and we have four beautiful children: Kanon, Kaya, Kallie and Kassius. I am originally from Alabama, but I'm a Colorado transplant of 8 years now and we have decided to make this place our forever home. After the birth of my son, I was left with a feeling of dissatisfaction around how my labor and birth actually played out. Soon after finding out I was pregnant with my daughter, I sought out a different model of care for my pregnancy. Within this process, I decided that I wanted to hire a doula as well. I interviewed her early on in my pregnancy, and we instantly clicked. Long story short... I had the absolute best birth experience thanks to an amazing birth team! I was hooked. That oxytocin that fills the room is unparalleled. I needed and wanted to be a part of this amazing group of birth workers who made all the difference to my pregnancy and birth. So here I am, 6 years later, following my heart and embracing my love for the beauty of birth.

My Philosophy

I believe in the power to birth your baby the way you feel is the best way. Whether that is unmedicated, medicated, via Cesarean. I support all births and provide evidence-based education so you, as a birthing person, can make the best decision for you, your baby, and your family.

My Experience

I received my training through DONA International. I chose this organization for their outstanding Code of Ethics and Scope of Practice. I have attended many different variations of birth, from the hospital to home. I pride myself on having diverse clientele and experiences.

"Families who work with a DONA certified birth or postpartum doula know that they’re getting someone who has completed in-depth, high-quality, evidence-based training. DONA International upholds the highest standards for certified doulas, and you can rest assured that you will receive the highest level of support from a DONA certified doula!"

"If a doula were a drug, it would be unethical not to use it."

- Dr. John Kennell, DONA International Founder
